This variation of eucalyptus happens to be a favorite for many with its distinct eucalyptus-type fragrance with beautiful notes of honey and sweet sap.
The eucalyptus radiata tree can grow up to 100 feet tall and has black, smooth bark. The tree bares an abundance of white flowers that are attract pollinators such as bees. This species of eucalyptus is native to south-eastern Australia and its lance-shaped leaves are used in steam distillation to create the essential oil.
Eucalyptus radiata is a top note. Its scent is strong, penetrating, medicinal and camphorous.
Eucalyptus radiata is known to be antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory. It may assist with nerve pain, headaches and mental exhaustion. Eucalyptus radiata is known to aid lower and upper respiratory complaints such as bronchitis, colds, and flus, asthma, pneumonia and sinusitis. Eucalyptus may be used as a mental stimulant to improve clarity and focus. It is an emotionally energizing oil.
Blends well with basil, black pepper, cedarwood, cypress, eucalyptus (all), fragonia, geranium, ginger, juniper berry, lavandin, lavender, laurel, lemon, manuka, marjoram, peppermint, pine scotch, ravensara, ravintsara, rosemary, tangerine, tea tree, thyme and vetiver.
