Tried and tested in some of North America's most rugged terrains, this is an excellent boot sock that is thick, stretchy, non-itchy, breathable, and warm.
Pokoloko travelled South to work with Peru's infamous alpaca to find the best socks the world has to offer. They partnered with local Peruvian farmers and makers to gather these luxury materials and created a series of custom-made, premium socks for all ages.
This alpaca blend sock is ideal for those looking for a comfortable sock fit with an option to roll the socks up or down. Peruvian alpaca is a natural, technical fibre with remarkable thermal properties. Alpaca allows air circulation on warm days, and heat insulation on cool days. In this way, alpaca is able to prevent sweating in warmer weather, and contain heat in colder weather.
These socks are washed in aloe vera to soothe the feet and prevent sweating, odour, and bacteria. Alpaca is lightweight, silky-smooth, hypoallergenic, non-itchy, incredibly soft, and stronger than mohair. As a bonus, alpaca is one of the Earth's most sustainable fibres to make, because alpacas and alpaca fibre harvesting have a very low environmental impact.
MATERIALS: Â 50% alpaca, 35% acrylic, 7% nylon, 8% spandex (for durability + function)
Alpacas are not harmed while their fleece is harvested for Poko products. In fact, alpaca wool is one of the most ethical fibres available. Poko's partner farmers take great care in gently shearing the wool and releasing the animal back to roam freely.
CARE:Â Machine wash cold, do not bleach, do not iron. Hang to dry for best results and longevity, socks get softer with wear.
Alpaca fibre does not contain lanolin, which means alpaca does not require strong chemicals to clean it.
Ethically made in Peru.
