This clean cool blue is inspired by the wings of seabirds when seen in bright sunlight. Sitting between Parma Gray and Lulworth Blue, Kittiwake has a touch more black pigment creating a warmer, more relaxed feel. This shade is perfect for living spaces, staying truly blue in all lights. It also complements stainless steel especially well, so is ideal for contemporary kitchens. A sophisticated blue, it looks fantastic with Wine Dark and Borrowed Light.
NOTE: Sample Pots are available only in Estate Emulsion finish. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.Â

From walls, floors and furniture to radiators, skirtings and sheds, Farrow & Ball's range of paint finishes can help you transform almost any surface in your home (and outside it, too). They even have multi-surface finishes like Dead Flat, so you can tackle walls, woodwork and metal at the same time.
All Farrow & Ball paints, from their matt emulsions to their brilliant gloss, are made with a 100% water base. That means they’re safer, faster-drying, lower in odour and VOCs, and better for the world we share, with absolutely no compromise on colour or performance.
Please see the features and specifications below to help you choose the best finish for your needs.
ESTATE EMULSION - Farrow & Ball's signature finish for interior walls and ceilings. Its distinctive chalky matte finish minimizes imperfections, and scatters light to fully express the depth of our colours. The flat, velvety effect it creates even brings added richness to darker colours.
MODERN EMULSION - Farrow & Ball's super-tough finish for interior walls and ceilings. Washable, scuff-proof, and mold and mildew resistant, it’s suitable for use in every room of the home. From busy hallways to moisture-prone kitchens and bathrooms, Modern Emulsion is available in their full range of colours in a beautiful matte finish.
DEAD FLAT - Multi-surface, ultra-matte finish with added toughness. Suitable for walls, it’s ideal for colour drenching. The flat matte look creates richer colour from every angle, while the washable, scuff-resistant finish is more than a match for mess — perfect for hallways, playrooms and other high-traffic areas.
ESTATE EGGSHELL - A washable, water based satin finish for interior wood and metal. Its soft low-shine finish brings an understated elegance to trim and furniture and is suitable for doors, kitchen cabinets, radiators, and other wood and metalwork throughout the home.
MODERN EGGSHELL - Farrow & Ball's toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
FULL GLOSS - An ultra-high-gloss water based finish suitable for both interior and exterior wood and metal, as well as bringing a touch of glamor to walls and ceilings. Farrow & Ball's highest-shine finish, it’s resistant to water, flaking, peeling, and fading for up to six years**.

CLEAN UP + STORAGE:Â Wash paint brushes and rollers in warm soapy water and let them fully air dry before storing.
After your project has finished, you can keep leftover paint in top condition ready for any touch-ups by ensuring the lid is on securely and tightly. We also recommend turning the container upside down for a few seconds to stop a skin forming on the paint before storing in an upright position. Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from fluctuating temperatures and frost, to keep them at their best and avoid waste.Â
END OF LIFE:Â If you have leftover paint that you are unable to use or store properly, your local household waste recycling centre may have a paint donation point.
Do not empty paint contents into drains or watercourses. Dispose of any remaining paint at local waste disposal site in accordance with local/national regulations. Empty metal containers may be recycled.
