What is the advantage of the hemp fabric? Hemp fibre is one of the strongest and most durable of all of the natural textile fibres. Products made from hemp will outlast their competition by many years. Hemp is an extremely fast growing crop, producing more fibre yield per acre than any other source. Its plants don’t need fertilizer or pesticides, making it even more eco-friendly and anti-bacterial.
The porous nature of the fabric’s fibres allows the hemp to “breathe,” as well as be water absorbent. This results in the fabric being cool and comfortable in warm weather, and naturally warmer in cool weather. The porous nature of the fibres also helps to absorb odours.
What is acupressure? Acupressure is an ancient healing art, originating in India and developed in Japan as Shiatsu massage. Fingers, thumbs, and tools, such as an acupressure mat, are pressed into the body’s reflex areas, also called pressure points. The pressure stimulates the release of blocked energy and increases the circulation in problematic areas. As a result, acupressure relieves muscle tension or pain while rejuvenating and rebalancing the body.
